Try making paper snowflakes-but instead of using regular copy paper that is sometimes hard to cut, try using parchment paper. We used regular kitchen parchment paper available at grocery stores. Just cut a piece of the paper to about 5x11 inches. Then accordian pleat the paper in 3/4-inch folds. Fold the pleated paper in half and cut a notch in the middle. Tie a ribbon or string at the notch. Now cut random shaped along the folds. Open up the paper and glue the sides together. Add a little glitter to the edges if you like. Coffee Filter Snowflakes
To make a REALLY SIMPLE snowflake, use a white coffee filter. Simply flatten it out and then fold it in half, then in quarters, then in eighths. Now cut notches along the folded areas. Open it up-you have a pretty white snowflake. Watch the video of this project to make it even easier!
